EXCUSES, a pretext of failures

Use of EXCUSES, a pretext of failures:

People who find Happiness most of the times are the ones, who don’t make often excuses. They have a different attitude if it’s broken they fix it……., if it is wrong they make it right. Frequent use of excuses change nothing but make that person just only feel better for that moment!

Don’t expect good results from the excuses.  Success & excuses don’t go together… in other words, if you want excuses, forget the real success but if you want success, do not give excuses!!! It is difficult to find anybody is ever impressed with how good your excuses are, isn’t it! I think the use of too many excuses in everyday life works as Nails which build the house of failures.

You open the door to real Success, the day, you become stronger than your excuses and your Dreams have become greater than your Excuses….you made the right change.

Surround Effect

Surround Effect

With what is your child living or surrounded with?

The human brain is an incredibly dynamic organ of our system that responds to our surroundings, mental patterns and habits.

  • If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.
  • If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.
  • If a child lives with fear, he learns to be apprehensive.
  • If a child lives with pity, he learns to feel sorry for himself.
  • If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.
  • If a child lives with jealousy, he learns what envy is.
  • If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty.
  • If a child lives with encouragement, he learns to be confident.
  • If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient.
  • If a child lives with praise, he learns to be appreciative.
  • If a child lives with acceptance, he learns to love.
  • If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself.
  • If a child lives with recognition, he learns that it is good to have a goal.
  • If a child lives with sharing, he learns about generosity.
  • If a child lives with honesty and fairness, he learns what truth and justice are.
  • If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith in himself and in those about him.
  • If a child lives with friendliness, he learns that the world is a nice place in which to live.
  • If you live with serenity, your child will live with peace of mind.

Above all, most importantly,

if you and your family practice religious principles,

then

You will learn all good things and stay away from bad things in life.

Your association matters hence stay within a good circle of devotees and friends to have a profound effect on your quality of daily living.

The studies have found that people who expressed that spirituality or religion was important to them in their daily living had significantly thicker cerebral cortices—a part of the brain rich in highly active neural networks responsible for sensory perception, language and emotion processing—than those who did not.

What is not surprising is that these factors also apply to adults. Spouses, and other adults within teams and organizations. While you are looking out for your children you may also want to watch out and care for your partner and others with whom you have to interact.

Financial literacy-II

Financial literacy-II

The most important feature for an investor is nothing but is his own temperament, not the actual intellect.

Yes, you need a real temperament that neither give you over confidence or less confidence during all the seasons of market investing, which is being with the crowd or against it. An independent thinking person with confidence in what you believe is much more important than being the smartest person in the block.

Just like anything else, your best returns come from those who wait for the better opportunities to show itself before making a commitment. Those who chase the current hot stock market usually end up losing more than they gain. Always stay current with the things going around both domestically and internationally, both in the form of current market trend and forthcoming government rules and regulation changes. Remain active in your analysis of sectors and then look for quality companies at discounted prices. Always vigilant and be patiently waiting for them to reach their discounted price before you make a move.

In general, most of us are disciplined, some are more disciplined and some are less than others. We all learn this from childhood. Same kind of discipline is required in financial management. Some learn through observation, some learn through reading, some learn from both. Interestingly the best learn through your own failure, the lesson through the hard way. But as an investor when it comes to your money, earning through your own mistake is often avoided and is not preferred.

When doing the research on stock investing, don’t make a trade until the technical and the fundamentals are right. Research on fundamentals help to find a quality stock (company) and the real technical analysis help you to determine when to make a trade (buy) and same timely technical analysis will help you with your exit point to come out of the investment. With the experience you will be able to understand, the fundamental reason that is driving the stock and technical analysis will confirm the fundamentals, then you make the move to trade either way.

Don’t behave like The Gambler. As an investor, we should always aim to put the odds in our favor with every trade. All of these can be identified through individual stock selection technical or fundamental analysis, sector-based, value based pricing, growth oriented, whatever approach which works best for a particular investor. The real point is that investors must be constantly vigilant and working toward finding and recognizing opportunities as they present themselves. After all,  you have been dealt the right cards, it’s time to take the next move

Money management cannot be put on auto-cruise control or autopilot but it is an ongoing process. The first precept is to minimize the losses on each and every opportunity. Unfortunately, investors do not have any easy way but, investors must work hard to find good opportunities. Once you have a good hand and sound judgment, it is time to decide how much money to commit to the opportunity.

Most important factor is actually knowing you. It means doing everything you can to stick to your own discipline. Everyone is tempted to get on with it to make the next trade, but if that opportunity does not fit within your measure or criteria of a good opportunity, then you must force yourself to let it pass. It is possible that while you will miss some good gains, this will also save you from some hefty losses as well. There is nothing wrong in following your discipline is essential for success as a small gambler as well as an investor. You must be extraordinarily patient in your pursuit of the right opportunities and then aggressively go after the better ones.

Financial literacy-I

Financial literacy – I

You enjoy the financial health outcome based on your financial behavior and financial literacy. Many times we have financial knowledge but there is an always going to be a gap if we are not going to behave according to our knowledge. Financial health is a result of sound decisions, planning, financial emotion, greed, abilities to handle both good and bad outcome, constant learning.

There is an element of ethics in personal responsibility. Your own ability to handle financial shocks from a setback. Your own ability to take a calculated risk. Planning for everything is not possible but setting the right priorities and setting the goals accordingly is more important.

  • Spend less than you make/earn.

Everyone want to buy all the luxurious things but not everyone can afford them all. Hence knowing our capacity first before we start spending the money is important. Wisely spending the money based on the priority and the need is a key to spending the money. Hence it becomes the foundation of financial health. Just forget about coming out of financial debt, if your expenses exceed the income and eat up everything you have.

  • Save reasonably good for your emergency fund.

Having really decent emergency fund is another important factor of finances.  But a definition of so-called decent varies according to your situation. Having 6-9 months of funds saved for living expenses which are set aside is a great idea. Saving money is most important and critical part of your life and developing the habit of saving more earlier in the life will pay you big later on.

  • Pay your debt and bills on time.

Not paying the loan installment, utility bills can further dent your savings. Not paying the credit bill on time can in occur various fees and can increase the interest rate on the debt.

  • Staying on track of your goals for retirement.

Many people have a plan but staying on track for your retirement savings plan is more important than anything. Setting aside money regularly based on your current circumstances and type of retirement life you want to live. All these can start when you start earning in your twenties and earlier you can start is better.

  • Avoid very high-interest debt/loan.

Good money management habits will get you lower interest rate when you need it for your car loans, home loans etc. Not managing the money right can create an extra burden on you in the form of higher than the normal interest rate on your future loans.

  • Keep your debt in control to keep you sustainable.

Keeping your home loan mortgage payment not more than 28% of your before-tax income and all the debt payments including the home loans installments should not increase more than 36%  of your income is advisable. Another benchmark is the 50/30/20 rule of a budget. Which says to keep your required payments of home loan and other must have expenditure (food, utilities, insurance, kids care etc) under 50%  of your after tax income. Then you’re left with 30% for your other wants and remaining 20 % for other debt repayment and savings. When you start experiencing that when your debt keeps you up in the night is the time you need to have serious re-look at your finance management.

  • Keep your good debt in good condition

Your home loans and student loans are one of the good debts. Home loan provides shelter to your family and at the same time value of your home increases. Similarly, student loan, help you get a good education and good education help you earn good money later on. Pay both the loans on time.

Vegetarianism and Vitamin B-12 deficiency

Vegetarianism and Vitamin B-12 deficiency

Vitamin B12 deficiency, a Silent Epidemic with Serious Consequences. Most of the time people who are vegetarian have very higher chances of vitamin B-12 deficiency because vegetarian diet does not have a great source for B-12 supply. B-12 is mostly found in the non-veg diet.

B12 deficiency can cause or is associated with:

  • Premature aging
  • Neurological disorders similar in presentation to multiple sclerosis
  • Brain fog, memory problems, and cognitive decline
  • Bell’s palsy, a face nerve disorder.
  • Stroke, heart disease and other vascular problems (due to elevated homocysteine)
  • Developmental or learning disabilities in children
  • Impaired immune function, autoimmune disease, and cancer
  • Male and female infertility
  • Numerous other symptoms…

A study using the more sensitive techniques found much higher rates of deficiency: 68% for vegetarians and 83% of vegans. This is especially important because B-12 depletion can take years to become clinically evident (i.e. deficiency sets in long before obvious symptoms appear), and some of the more serious effects of B12 deficiency (such as nerve damage) are irreversible.

As you can see, signs like macrocytic anemia and symptoms of peripheral neuropathy or brain fog do not appear until the final stage of B12 deficiency. By then, in the case of the neurological symptoms, it may be too late to reverse them. This makes early diagnosis crucial.

 B12 in the diet

B12 is the only vitamin that contains a trace element (cobalt), which is why it’s called cobalamin. Cobalamin is produced in the gut of animals. It’s the only vitamin we can’t obtain from plants or sunlight. Plants don’t need B12 so they don’t store it. B12 is found exclusively in animal foods, such as liver, clams, oysters, mussels, fish eggs, octopus, fish, crab and lobster, beef, lamb, cheese, and eggs.

A common myth amongst vegetarians and vegans is that it’s possible to get B12 from plant sources like seaweed, fermented soy, spirulina, and brewers yeast. But plant foods said to contain B12 actually contain B12 analogs called cobamides that block the intake of and increase the need for true B12.

This is why it’s crucial for those that abstain from animal products to understand that there are no plant sources of B12 and that all vegans and most vegetarians should supplement.

SUNSHINE VITAMIN

VALUABLE FACTS ABOUT NATURES BEST AND FREE VITAMIN D

This summer season, think about vitamin D when you’re catching up on summer’s sunny rays. It’s sometimes called the “sunshine vitamin” because it’s produced in your skin in response to natural sunlight. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin in a family of compounds that includes vitamins D-1, D-2, and D-3. It can affect as many as 2,000 genes in the body. An adequate amount of Vitamin D is needed daily to support good health of your bones (to avoid soft bones and fragile bones), teeth and regulation of Calcium and Phosphorous absorption. It is considered to provide protection against many modern diseases such as Cancer, Diabetes, and Skin conditions (multiple sclerosis). So in your next Dr. appointment, make sure you talk about Vitamin D deficiency checks.
Vitamin D prevents Osteoporosis,
Depression,
Prostate cancer,
Breast cancer
and even effects –
Diabetes & Obesity.

Vitamin D is perhaps the single most *underrated nutrient* in the world of nutrition.

That’s probably because it’s free….
Your body makes it when sunlight touches your skin !!

Drug companies can’t sell you sunlight, so there’s no promotion of its health benefits.

The truth is, most people don’t know the real story on
*vitamin D and health.*
So here’s an overview is taken from an interview between Mike Adams and *Dr.Michael Holick*.

◆ 1. Vitamin D is *produced by your skin* in response to exposure to ultraviolet radiation *from natural sunlight*.
◆ 2. The healing rays of natural sunlight (that generate vitamin D in your skin) *can not penetrate glass*. So you don’t generate vitamin D when sitting in your car or home.
◆ 3. It is nearly impossible to get adequate amounts of vitamin D from your diet. *Sunlight exposure is the only reliable way* to generate vitamin D in your own body.
◆ 4. A person would have to drink *ten tall glasses* of vitamin D fortified milk each day just to get minimum levels of vitamin D into their diet.
◆ 5. The further you live from the equator, the longer exposure you need to the sun in order to generate vitamin D. Canada, the UK and most U.S. States are far from the equator.
◆ 6. People with dark skin pigmentation may need 20 – 30 times as much exposure to sunlight as fair-skinned people to generate the same amount of vitamin D.
That’s why prostate cancer is epidemic among black men — it’s a simple, but widespread, sunlight deficiency.
◆ 7. Sufficient levels of vitamin D are *crucial for calcium absorption* in your intestines. Without sufficient vitamin D, your body cannot absorb calcium, rendering calcium supplements useless.
◆ 8. Chronic vitamin D *deficiency cannot be reversed overnight*: it takes months of vitamin D supplementation and sunlight exposure to rebuild the body’s bones and nervous system.
◆ 9. Even weak *sunscreens (SPF=8) block* your body’s ability to generate vitamin D by 95%. This is how sunscreen products actually cause disease -by creating a critical vitamin deficiency in the body.
◆ 10. It is impossible to generate too much vitamin D in your body from sunlight exposure: your body will self-regulate and only generate what it needs.
◆ 11. If it hurts to press firmly on your sternum(chest/breast bone), you may be suffering from chronic vitamin D deficiency right now.
◆ 12. Vitamin D is “activated” in your body by your *kidneys and liver* before it can be used.
◆ 13. Having kidney disease or liver damage can greatly impair your body’s ability to activate circulating vitamin D.
◆ 14. The sunscreen industry doesn’t want you to know that your body actually needs sunlight exposure because that realization would mean lower sales of sunscreen products.
◆ 15. Even though vitamin D is one of the *most powerful healing chemicals in your body*, your body makes it absolutely free.

No prescription required.
Other powerful *antioxidants* with this ability include the super
fruits like Pomegranates (POM Wonderful juice), Acai, Blueberries, etc.

~ Diseases and conditions cause by vitamin D deficiency:

● Osteoporosis is commonly caused by a lack of vitamin D, which greatly impairs calcium absorption.

● Sufficient vitamin D prevents
prostate cancer,
breast cancer,
ovarian cancer,
depression,
colon cancer and
schizophrenia..

● “Rickets” is the name of a bone-wasting disease caused by vitamin D deficiency.
● Vitamin D deficiency may *exacerbate* type 2 diabetes and impair insulin production in the pancreas.
● Obesity impairs vitamin D utilization in the body, meaning obese people *need twice* as much vitamin D.
● Vitamin D is used around the world to treat *Psoriasis*(a chronic skin disease).
● Vitamin D deficiency can cause ~
schizophrenia.
● Seasonal Affective Disorder is caused by a melatonin imbalance initiated by lack of exposure to sunlight.
● Chronic vitamin D deficiency is often misdiagnosed as *fibromyalgia* because its symptoms are so similar: *muscle weakness, aches and pains*.
● Your risk of developing serious diseases like diabetes and cancer is *reduced 50% – 80%*  through simple, sensible exposure to natural *sunlight 2-3 times each week*.
● Infants who receive vitamin D supplementation (2000 units daily) have an *80% reduced risk* of developing *type 1 diabetes* over the next twenty years.

? Shocking Vitamin D deficiency statistics:

32% of doctors and med school students are vitamin D deficient.
40% of the U.S. population is vitamin D deficient.
42% of African American women of childbearing age are deficient in vitamin D.
48% of young girls (9-11 years old) are vitamin D deficient.
Up to 60% of all hospital patients are vitamin D deficient.
76% of pregnant mothers are severely vitamin D deficient, causing widespread vitamin D deficiencies in their unborn children, which predisposes them to type 1 diabetes, arthritis, multiple sclerosis and schizophrenia later in life. 81% of the children born to these mothers were deficient.
Up to 80% of nursing home patients are
vitamin D deficient❗❗

The attitude of life

The attitude of life:

Our attitude has an intense or profound effect on quality of our life. How we develop the attitude, accordingly we enjoy some immediate and longer term effect of it in the journey of life. Our attitude is a little and intangible thing but when it is in action, the same attitude makes big difference. It can either make or break any relation, family, company, career, health and wealth and many more good things. Just like physical health, mental health is important too.

Your own positive attitude gives you power over your own circumstances, instead of circumstances having power over you.

Your attitude is like a price tag, it shows how valuable you’re.

If you can’t change your fate, change your attitude.

People may hear your words but most importantly they feel your attitude. Attitudes are contagious, be careful you may catch the wrong one!!

Expectations of parents

Expectations of parents:

In the era when each and every parent want their kids to become none other but medical Doctor or Engineer, so is our expectations are very high from our next generations. We all as a parent gets worried when our kids take their quizzes, exams, finals. Sometimes and often parents are more nervous than the child who is going to sit in the test and take the challenge. In the competitive time, it has become more challenging as parents to think about what will be the outcome of the test and we become more anxious.

Most of the time we don’t think beyond the result of exam or test. Here is why?

But among the students who are sitting there for exams,

  • There is a future Artist who don’t have to understand Math…
  • There is a future Fashion Designer who doesn’t have to score too high in Biology…
  • There is a future Entrepreneur who doesn’t care too much about History……
  • There is a future Musician who doesn’t have to worry about chemistry score….
  • There is an Athlete, who thinks his physical fitness is more important than the score of Physics…..

If your child gets a high score in all subject that’s great but if they are not performing excel in all subjects, that’s OK too.

But most importantly please don’t take away their passion, self-confidence, and dignity from them. Just think about your college/school life and you will find many are doing very well in real life than what they were scoring in exams during exams back then, isn’t it? It’s ok; there is bigger life ahead of them. Instead, tell them you love them and will not judge them by a just score of a test. Please do this and see the miracle and enjoy the difference. You will see them conquer the world and win your heart one day too. There are many other unforeseen reasons/situation and other influencing factors also play in your success and failures, ups and downs too. Nothing is permanent.

Castor Oil Helped Prevent Knee Surgery

*Castor Oil Helped Prevent Knee Surgery*

Castor Oil is a life-saver for joints, especially knees.
(See below a true story narrated by a few users)
A few years ago, my husband hurt/twisted his knee while getting in and out of a huge truck. The pain only increased as time went by, so we went to urgent care. After x-rays, etc., my husband was told that it really required surgery to repair and fix his knee, which was NOT in our budget at the time. What to do?
We had already heard about using castor oil on joints from a couple of doctors (M.D.) with knowledge in natural remedies, also.

According to instructions, I massaged castor oil into his whole knee area; then I wrapped the whole area with an old cloth (that I would continue to keep stored/sealed in a zippy bag, for re-use) and with saran-type-wrap, because castor oil is both oily and staining–it will not wash out. After that, we put a heating pad on the area (SET ON LOW heat) for an hour. We kept the wrappings on his knee overnight.

I had to beg my husband to let me apply the castor oil and wrappings on the first night. The second night, he reminded me to fix up his knee again. Night number three, he did it himself, on his own. He woke up the next morning, with his knee feeling great.

If/when he or I ever hurt any joint, both of us know to rub with the castor oil, wrap with a cloth, cover for a while, and get relief. Heat does not have to be applied, but it helps.

There is nothing like castor oil for knees and joints. It’s messy, but who cares, if it helps prevent or STOP the need for surgery and if it stops the pain?
Here are some other castor oil stories:

“Whenever my children hurt themselves, the first thing I reached for was the castor oil. My mother-in-law’s uncle was a boxer and castor oil was what they used after a boxing match to prevent hematomas and bruising. It works like a charm. It has been passed down as a remedy in my family for many years.”

“I rub castor oil on my aches and pains, and it helps a lot. Some people make castor oil packs. I used them when the doctors said I had liver cancer. We don’t know what happened to the liver cancer! It is gone. I use castor oil every chance I get. I hope it works for others! Take care!!”

“Used castor oil in Lacrosse for years. Put on castor oil and wrapped it with plastic wrap, bruise would at times be gone the next day. Frustrated a lot of players because they would swear that they hit you… smile emoticon ”

“Castor Oil DEFINITELY WORKS!!! I am a huge bruiser, esp. since I am borderline anemic and whenever I bruise and I apply castor oil right away directly to bruise and rub it in a bit, it significantly minimizes the bruise right away and/or decreases the severity or # of days it shows! I love it!”

MM“I had warts on my hands when I was younger. Tried the burning/freezing remedies and nothing worked as well as my mother’s remedy of applying castor oil to the wart and covering with a band-aid. This got rid of warts completely. I forget how long it took or how often I had to reapply, but they never came back.”

“Castor oil completely eliminated a wart that I had tried to eliminate for over twenty years. It did not even leave a scar! I applied the oil on the wart after showering and at bedtime and covered it with a bandage. I kept at it until it was gone, maybe two months.”…….

UBUNTU

*UBUNTU* – “`A Very Nice Story from Africa“`………

The Motivation behind the Ubuntu Culture in Africa …

An Anthropologist proposed a Game to the African Tribal Children …

He placed a Basket of Sweets near a Tree

And made the Children stand 100 meters away.

Then announced that whoever reaches first would get all the Sweets in the Basket.

When he said ‘Ready Steady Go!’ …

“`Do you know what these Children did ?“`

They all held each other’s Hands, Ran together towards the Tree, divided the Sweets equally among themselves, ate the Sweets and enjoyed it.

When the Anthropologist asked them why they did so,

They answered *’Ubuntu’*

Which meant –

_’How can one be happy when the others are sad?’_

Ubuntu in their language means –

_’I am because We are!’_

A strong message for all Generations.

Let all of us always have this Attitude and spread true Happiness wherever we go.

Let’s have a *_Ubuntu_* “`Life“` …

*I AM BECAUSE WE ARE*

Priorities check:

Priorities check:

Most of us spend the majority of our time on urgent matters and less time on important things in everyday life.

People are always occupied and stay very busy because they mostly forget those important things which are ignored in the first place or given less attention, which then only becomes urgent later on. In reality, if you schedule your priorities in time then there are less urgent things to take care thereafter.

In order to say “Yes” to your priorities, you must learn and willing to say “No” to something else. In other words, it is an issue of your “Wants” V/S “Priorities”.

People who constantly keep checking on their priorities are the one can manage the time very well and live peacefully. At the end, we should remember that we need quality time to keep improving our family and our life. Your actions express your “Priorities”.

Being Human

We all were humans until,

  • Race disconnected us,
  • Religion separated us,
  • Nationality divided us,
  • Politics further divided us,

And

  • Wealth classified us.

Humanity should be our race

Love should be our religion.

God is within all of us, so

A heart is our religious place.

It is our humanity which makes us spiritual and good Spirit which makes us human.

No religion is higher than humanity.

Why We Shout In Anger?

Why We Shout In Anger” ~ A short story on Relationships.

A Hindu saint who was visiting river Ganges to take bath found a group of family members on the banks, shouting in anger at each other. He turned to his disciples smiled ‘n asked. ‘Why do people shout in anger shout at each other?’

Disciples thought for a while, one of them said, ‘Because we lose our calm, we shout.’ ‘But, why should you shout when the other person is just next to you? You can as well tell him what you have to say in a soft manner.’ asked the saint.

Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the other disciples.

Finally, the saint explained, ‘When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other.

The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other to cover that great distance.

What happens when two people fall in love? They don’t shout at each other but talk softly, Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is either nonexistent or very small…’ The saint continued, ‘When they love each other even more, what happens? They do not speak, only whisper ‘n they get even closer to each other in their love.

Finally, they even need not whisper, they only look at each other ‘n that’s all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.’

He looked at his disciples ‘n said. ‘So when you argue do not let your hearts get distant, Do not say words that distance each other more, Or else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return.’
